Horses For Sale
Mountain Valley Equestrian Center has a select number of horses for sale. Each year, Kate accepts only a few horses into the sale program with the goal of finding them their new homes. Each horse is currently in a professional training program so they can continue their education. As a result of being able to work closely with each horse, Kate is able to get a clear understanding of each horse's personality, training level and abilities in order to represent them in truly honest manner.

Lucky To Have Me- “Lucy”

16.2h 8 year old Black OTTB mare who retired sound from the track in 2023 and has been properly let down and recently restarted under saddle. This stunning mare checks all the boxes for someone looking for their next project.
Lucy is easy to handle, can be turned or stalled. She gets along well with other horses. Lucy is green under saddle with less than 30 days professional training and is therefore not for a beginner but appropriate for an amateur working with a trainer. She will w/t/c both directions, started over poles and recently competed in her first schooling Combined Test.
Lucy has no limitations, basic front shoes and is on no supplements. Good for vet, farrier, trailering etc.
She is reasonably priced at $4500 in hopes of finding her a great next home quickly before the working students head off to college. Price will increase with continued training.
